A favorite of mine. AH, the RUMI. Ever present, mindful, speaking . truth always. ~KMK

Can you find another market like this?
with your one rose
you can buy hundreds of rose gardens?
for one seed
get a whole wilderness?
For one weak breath,
a divine wind?
You’ve been fearful
of being absorbed in the ground,
or drawn up by the air.
Now, your waterbead lets go
and drops into the ocean,
where it came from.
It no longer has the form it had,
but it’s still water
The essence is the same.
This giving up is not a repenting.
It’s a deep honoring of yourself.
When the ocean comes to you as a lover,
marry at once, quickly,
for God’s sake!
Don’t postpone it!
Existence has no better gift.
No amount of searching
will find this.
A perfect falcon, for no reason
has landed on your shoulder,
and become yours.

“Find   out what   you’re afraid of and go live there.”

~Chuck Palahniuk

This was in the  book  The  Geography of Loss, by  Patti  Digh,  a    beautifully   put together   book.  The design, imagery,  and writing  are all   worth  savoring. I   bought this  book  last   year,  almost to the day.   How interesting is that??   hmmmm.  I  started reading it last  year,  then  it went   back on the  shelf   because I  had  other things to deal  with  that took over.  Then,  this  morning, I wanted to  post something here today, and I   picked   up  this  book —  randomly — off the shelf.    This quote, as well as  another one, were  perfectly timed.

THIS IS  is how I   connect with the Divine  and my  spirituality.  Because I   believe  God can speak  to me through    books  and other  people. I  don’t   have a   need to go sit in a  place and   listen to   somebody else    tell   me what  I   could or should feel  or think   about  GOD.  I don’t   need to connect  with a  BIBLE of any sort.  Because the  Divine is all around us, every day, speaking to us, in the   most  unexpected  ways,  and  that is where my  Bible is…. it is in  life itself.
